SecurityWERX enables area-specific messaging
SecurityWERX is an application that leverages the SiteWERX platform and enables users to manage location information in their environment. SecurityWERX provides precise location information for campus and multi-building environments such as business campuses, universities and government facilities.
SecurityWERX is comprised of three main components providing the following functions:
- SiteWERX Device Software – runs on any Bluetooth enabled phone and allows the phone to communicate with the SiteWERX Node Network.
- SiteWERX Node Network – Includes a Bluetooth enabled node and a base station to communicate with the SiteWERX Managed Server.
- SiteWERX Managed Server – the core component of the SiteWERX system, manages the configuration and health of the nodes and devices, provides messaging to the nodes and devices, tracks devices through the node network and integrates with the SiteWERX Server to display enhanced location information in graphical format.
The SecurityWERX server provides two levels of messaging:

Canned Messages: Standard, configurable messages sent from the SiteWERX Managed Server console to the nodes and delivered to any SiteWERX enabled wireless device that comes into the communications vicinity of the node.
Blog Messages: Customized Area Specific Messages that are created and sent from the SiteWERX Managed Server console to the nodes and then delivered to any SiteWERX enabled wireless devices that has registered with the node network. Messages can be targeted to wireless devices that are located within the vicinity of specific nodes.
SecurityWERX is scalable and is available in the following configurations:
SecurityWERX SME Edition is built for small and medium sized enterprises and leverages the same SiteWERX Node System and Device Software. It includes a control panel to manage the health of nodes and interfaces with existing WiFi enabled local networks.
SecurityWERX Consumer Edition is a single node for use by individuals in their homes. The Node communicates directly with the SiteWERX Server to provide enhanced location information for 911 calls. A WiFi local enabled network is required to use the Consumer Edition.
SecurityWERX Gives the Exact Room a Caller is Located In
The problem with most current location based technology today is that they can give broad location information, but that is not specific enough in a campus environment. If there is a problem in a specific building and communication needs to be sent to mobile device users the message would need to be sent to everyone on campus. When such broad based messages are sent it often clogs the communication pipeline and message delivery can be significantly delayed. For example, if a message needed to be sent to evacuate a specific floor of a building, the message would be sent to the entire campus.
SecurityWERX offers a much more effective and efficient way to manage location based communications across campus environments. With SecurityWERX specific messages can be sent to a specific building, floor and even classroom. The more targeted messages are received faster and situations can be dealt with more effectively.
SecurityWERX can be deployed as a stand alone system or as addition to existing location based systems. It can be installed in a few weeks or months depending on the size of the campus and the desired coverage area. The node network uses existing power supply sources and can literally be plugged into a wall socket. The server application enables system administrators to easily monitor and manage location information and communications.
